Preliminary Soils Test

A preliminary soil test/site evaluation can be done for real estate agents or prospective buyers/sellers to determine if a lot is suitable for a septic system. This is also done to ensure that a septic system can be located in a spot chosen to fit the building site. The result is a brief report and sketch of the property with one or more possible septic system locations.

Seasonal Conversions

Before converting a seasonal dwelling with a system located in the shoreland zone to a year-round or principal dwelling, a seasonal conversion permit must be obtained.

Septic Inspections

The inspection of a septic system includes evaluation of existing septic system type, location, and functional status.
